Child Abuse Treatment Program
The Child Abuse Treatment program provides play and individual therapy for children ages 3 to 17 who have been traumatized. It also provides individual, group & family therapy for victims (ages 3-17), families and offenders involved in intra, and extra-familial sexual abuse. These services are provided in Grande Prairie and Valleyview
Adult Sexual Abuse Treatment Program (GENESIS PROGRAM)
This program provides therapy to adults sexually abused as children throughout the Northwest region of Alberta. Services may include one-on-one therapy, as well as an opportunity to participate in a variety of groups.

Family Support Progam
The Family Support Program provides a range of support services to youth and families with Child Welfare / Family Enhancement status. Services include, in-home support, youth work, drop-in assessments, respite, and driver escorts. This program provides services in Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge, Central Peace, Valleyview, and Grande Cache. In 2007, 146 children, 127 parents representing 95 families were provided services.
Community Program
This program provides support services to children, youth & adults who have been traumatized and/or sexually abused. Services may include one on one counselling, couple therapy or educational sessions. Services are offered in Grande Prairie and Peace River.
PACE Women's Drop-In Group (Tuesday Evenings 6:30PM - 8:30PM)
The group provides confidential support, information and resources in a number of different areas including:
- Developing and maintaining healthy relationships
- Setting limits and boundaries
- Building confidence
PACE CISM (Critical Incident Stress Management) Team, 780.832.7788
PACE provides Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) services in response to unusual and traumatic events for individuals in Grande Prairie and surrounding areas. To contact team 24/7 with a request for service or for questions call 780.832.7788
Crisis Intervention Training Program
This provides Crisis Intervention training for front line workers. Training includes: Communication Skills, Crisis Intervention, Sexual Assault/Abuse, Suicide Intervention (ASIST), and Mental Health First Aid. PACE provides training and resources to support the South Peace Critical Response Team and the Peace Country Sexual Assault Help Line.

PACE Public Education
PACE is proud to offer a dynamic new program regarding sexual abuse education. The "Who Do You Tell?"TM Program provides students from K-6 will essential key messages. Facilitators use various media approaches and discussions to deliver the programming. Key messages include: Every child has the right to say "NO" Sexual abuse is NEVER the child's fault and The most important thing to do is tell an adult.

This program provides presentations which focus on sexual violence and exploitation, resources and information to schools, agencies, and businesses in Grande Prairie and area. Presentations are based on community need and are continually changing with a wide variety to choose from. PACE will also develop or modify presentations and information as requested.

The Peace Country Wilderness Therapy Program
The Wilderness Therapy Program is designed to faciliate emotional growth opportunities for youth. The program consists of various backpacking adventures in breathtaking and challenging environments.
PACE Safe Visitation Program
The Safe Visitation Program serves families who have existing safety concerns relating to custody and access issues due to previous and/or current family violence. Given that violence often escalates following separation this program helps reduce the risk of future abuse during visits and exchanges by closely monitoring all contact between the visiting parent and the children.
The first step in accessing the program is to contact Youth Child and Family Services (CFSA) and request a referral.
